"GIFTS FROM THE HEART…. MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN A LIFE"
Friend Raising Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Home. We have many needs and there are many ways of providing support. Given the current state of the economy and the ongoing potential for government cutbacks, we are always in need of financial support. The dream of Mr.& Mrs. Duvall and our mission still today is to provide a safe, caring and loving environment for our residents. Providing for our individuals requires much more than just services, we also require additional financial assistance to continually improve the lives of our individuals by; improving staff through training; adding new and better equipment; and improving our facilities to maintain our programs and quality of service. Throughout the years we have been able to maintain a high quality of service and to demonstrate continued improvement through the continuing support and generosity of our parents, friends, guardians, churches and many, many other benefactors. Our need for continuing financial support continues today. If you would like to support our mission financially, you can by several different methods. We accept checks, credit cards, cash, and shares of stock. If you would like to create a pledge account, or a donation for a specific person or cause, we can arrange that. Please contact our Development Team at 386-734-2874 ext 126 or 102 or e-mail at development@duvallhome.org. We also accept donations of gently used clothing, bedding, and personal hygiene items for our residents. The Bargain Shop also accepts many items for resale, especially clothing, furniture, household items, and many other gently used items. To arrange for pick-up of large items please call 386-734-2874 ext. 0 or 101.Community & Corporate Support"The Duvall Home has enjoyed and benefited from long term support and relationships with churches, community friends, and corporate sponsors."
The Presbyterian Churches of the southeast have long supported our mission through monetary and in-kind donations as well as through extensive volunteering. We also have many ongoing relationships with other local and national churches. Additionally we host many youth groups who volunteer and stay at our campground. Our local Volusia County and DeLand community has also provided long term and extensive support. Local businesses and service clubs have supported us through participation in fundraising activities, donations, and volunteerism.
We also value and depend on the corporate support we have received through grants, fundraising, and especially their volunteering for our "workdays".
We are available to speak with any group regarding opportunities to volunteer, donate, and support our mission. For more information, please contact the Development Office at 386-734-2874, ext. 102 or 126; dwest@duvallhome.org or samanthagruber@duvallhome.org.
