GRAND OPENING! Duvall Home’s Deltona Bargain Shop Grand Opening will take place February 10th at 10:00am!

The first Duvall Home Bargain Shop opened in 2009 and due to the wonderful success of the program the Duvall Home announces the Grand Opening of their second Bargain Shop which will take place at the Deltona Plaza on February 10th at 10:00am.
Jim Scott, current Co-Manager of the DeLand location, will be moving to the Deltona store as full time Manager. Jim states, "We are thrilled to be opening our new and larger location in Deltona. Expanding the Duvall Home Bargain Shop allows us to serve all of West Volusia with a thrift store that not only carries a wide variety of items but the prices are unbelievably affordable."
The Bargain Shop helps the Duvall Home, located in Glenwood, FL to fulfill their mission of providing the highest quality of life and greatest level of independence for each of their 140 residents with developmental disabilities. The funds generated from the resale of clothing, furniture and household items donated by individuals in the community, help to underwrite the programs and operations of the Duvall Home, a non-profit 501c3 Corporation that has been caring for individuals with developmental disabilities since 1945. The Bargain Shop also employs several of Duvall's higher functioning residents. This gives them an opportunity to utilize the skills they have developed through attending the adult day training program at the Home.
Donations are greatly appreciated and always in need and can be dropped off during open hours at the store locations or at the Duvall Home's main campus, 3395 Grand Avenue, Glenwood, FL. The stores are located at 642 W. New York Ave., DeLand, FL and soon at 1200 Deltona Blvd., Unit # 27-28, Deltona, FL. Pick up of large items or quantities is also available by calling the Duvall Home at 386-734-2874 ext. 0 to schedule an appointment.
