Volunteer Opportunities Volunteering at the Home will be a rewarding experience for you, your family, your church, or your organization. We are very appreciative of all donations of mind, body, "in-kind", and monetary assistance. We have many ways and unique opportunities for an individual or group to donate and make a difference in a life. We have many volunteers who regularly visit and spend time working with our residents. We also have groups who come to the site on specific dates for specific projects to improve the facilities. The Home is also an ideal retreat for the many youth groups who stay with us each year. The Home needs groups of all sizes to help with maintenance, landscaping, painting, cleaning, and a wide variety of projects that occur throughout the year, we can create and individualize projects based on your specific capability and availability.
We also have a need for volunteers at our new initiatives. The Bargain Shop is in need of volunteers to help sort items and work at the Bargain Shop in DeLand. We also are in need of volunteers for interacting with our individuals, yard work, office help and in many other areas. Contact the Home for information on both projects. We work hand-in-hand with volunteers from the local Foster Grandparent Program.This program is a wonderful way to assist us with our mission. Any volunteer who chooses to work directly with our residents must complete a thorough background screening.
