VOLUNTEERYouth Groups We welcome youth groups to come spend a day or even a week at Duvall Home's camp ground located on 252 wooded acres within a five mile drive of the main campus. The camp ground offers two rustic cabins, two large bathhouses equipped with showers, a gathering area for group assemblies, and a shaded pavilion. Meals are available at the Duvall Home main campus or several restaurants and grocery stores are also in close proximity. Youth group volunteers work with the residents throughout the summer season to assist them with recreation activities, swimming, arts & crafts, as well as one-on-one time.
Volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to: - Earn credit hours for school
- Donate your talent: Our individuals enjoy music bands, singing, art groups, dancing, and magicians
- Work with our individuals doing puzzles, games, work books, reading stories, writing letters, arts & crafts
- Carpenters for repairs around the Home
- Crafting bibs or pillow cases for resident use
- DJ's to play for dances and parties
- Helping with pool activities
- Assist in events: picnics or community outings
- Landscaping at Duvall Home's camp ground, group homes, or main campus
- Count and package Labels for Education and inkjet cartridges used to purchase items for Duvall Home
- Administration filing, shredding, or cleaning
- Volunteer at either one of Duvall Home Bargain Shop locations
